I'm writing to you guys on the eve of my 27th birthday from my new apartment and somehow it almost feels anti climatic. I know that although I will be officially 27 tomorrow, nothing will really change. I will wake up and eat breakfast. I will turn on my laptop, email clients, edit photos, plan photoshoots, just as I've done for the past 5 months.
But we can start from 5 months ago.
5 months ago, I quit my stable job 9-5 as the editorial manager of The Chriselle Factor to start my own company. (Eeeeeeek!!!)
It was single handedly the scariest thing I did in 2016 (sans breaking up with my bf of 4 years). If you guys have been following me on Instagram (@Karen.Rosalie), you might have seen that I moved to DTLA in the past month. Not a day goes by still where I look around me and wonder how I got here. Standing in the heart of the concrete jungle in a brand spanking new apartment was something I couldn't even have imagined when I first started out. I started this photography journey with nothing but a camera and a passion for taking pictures. It still blows my mind that I was able to travel and work with so many amazing people throughout this whole process. There were so many times I wanted to give up and move back home to San Francisco. But through it all, I'm thankful for faith. I'm thankful for God's steady hand, guiding me through it all and giving me strength to persevere when I had none. Thank you to all my friends and family who supported and loved me endlessly. And most of all, I'm thankful I can share this next chapter with you guys.
I'm happy to announce the official launch of my digital content agency, Rosalie!
I've always loved the way photography can resonate with someone. I love storytelling and beautiful imagery. My digital content agency is the next step in my photography journey and I hope with it I can bring my penchant for storytelling to a wider audience. Thank you all for your continual support and please check out and share my agency website : www.rosalie.agency.
