It’s been a long time since I’ve written or posted anything.. since my birthday in fact. (And even that was belated.) I have a really good reason for that though, but really anything short of being kidnapped by a Yeti and being made an ice princess whilst in captivity really isn’t worth mentioning is it. Work work blabla, it’s almost like a broken record. I haven’t had time to sit & smell the roses (so to speak) in over what feels like 5 months, but it’s probably closer to 3. (It’s also 1am and time can be better expended than counting the months for accuracy.)

Creativity, I miss you.

i. Usually I try to make a point in doing a birthday post as a benchmark for the next year, but this is really too late to even be a belated post. (Not that it’s going to stop me from talking about myself heh.)

ii. So far, 2014 has been more amazing than anything I could have ever dared to dream of. A year ago, I was waiting with ennui for something momentous to occur. This year, I’m bracing myself for the incredible turning point of my career. I think I said it best last year when I quoted my friend, “Hold onto the things in this world that liberates you and let go of everything that holds you back, including your own limiting thoughts.”

Partly intentionally carving out new behaviors and habits, and partly inherently persevering through long hours because it’s become ingrained in me, this year has truly been an incredible year of growth and hard work. It has been a difficult and frustrating journey of pushing without knowing if the end was in sight, but I’m so so thankful for my amazing and supportive friends to give me the encouragement I needed to keep going.

The best part is, it doesn’t stop here.

iii. I haven’t been consistently updating my blog with my new photos but I figured this is an appropriate post to spam all the recent photos I’ve done. This isn’t at all an accurate collection of my work so far in the slightest, but it’s a start.

Hi guys,

It’s been extremely extremely overdue. Not gonna lie, my blog fell off the radar a bit as work began picking up at lightspeed and I had to prioritize my commitments. After 2.5 months of trying to get caught up I think I’ve finally reached a place where I am just about balanced. Unfortunately, tonight is not one of those nights. It’s almost 2am and I should be sleeping, but I am just too excited about this set to not break out of hermitry to share.

I’ve begun working pretty consistently with Chriselle, and one of the coolest things about working with her is finding creative ways to best showcase a brand (esp if it’s a lux brand like Ferragamo.) After failing hard at several locations we finally decided to shoot her outfit here and it was instant love. I absolutely love how editorial it looks! I mentioned 2 months ago I’d like to shoot harder but I think finally I’ve found an aesthetic treatment I’m quite happy with. I’ll share more on my progress and dream chasing in my next blog post, which I promise will happen before the end of June.
